The Bandra Residence
A three-bedroom apartment in a 1970s Bandra building, reworked for a family who wanted calm rooms rather than statement ones.
The brief was simple: keep the proportions the building already had, and let light do most of the work. Original layouts were opened only where they needed to be — the rest was left generous and quiet.
Ivory plaster walls hold warm oak joinery and a deep navy sofa. Brass appears in small doses: a floor lamp, a mirror frame, a set of handles. Nothing shouts.
The result is a home that feels settled rather than newly finished — rooms that carry morning light well and read the same at nine in the evening.
